Creative Arts

Communication Practicum Stream

Without a clear, concise, relevant message, the gospel cannot be communicated. The Creative Arts practicum takes those with a passion for current, relevant, and innovative communication and exposes them to cutting edge communication concepts and technology. Those in the Communications practicum will get hands-on experience in graphic design, photo/video, lighting, audio, and online communications.

Event/Production Practicum Stream

Students are involved in producing spectacular productions throughout this Practicum. This practicum focuses on the administration, organization, and collaboration it takes to produce a full event/production. You will get hands-on experience in team building, budgeting, scheduling, promotions, and marketing.

Drama and Dance Practicum Stream

In the Drama and Dance Practicum Stream the focus will be on incorporating current and relevant illustrations through sketches, dance routines, and scenarios that coincide with the message, event or production. Choreography, drama theory, and theater.

Church Leadership (Pastoral Ministry)

Leading in the church is one of the highest callings. The Church Leadership (Pastoral Ministries) practicum gives an in-depth experience or what it means to lead in the local church. The practical experience offers valuable knowledge and know-how by working alongside the seasoned innovative pastoral team at The Gate.

Church Leadership Practicum Streams

Worship Stream Worship is part of the foundation of the Church. The Worship Arts practicum stream gives the perfect atmosphere to explore and hone the gifts God has given for leading His people into His Presence. You will have the opportunity to lead hundreds of people each week into relevant spirit led worship.

Student Ministries Stream

The next generation is not only the future, at GLC we believe they are the present. Investing in the next generation strengthens church both for tomorrow and today. You will experience both event and weekly ministry opportunities to hone your knowledge and skill in new and innovative ways of reaching the coming generations.

Connecting Stream

The Connecting Stream provides hands-on learning and experience in assimilation and follow-up in the local church. The vision of the Gate is to “Lead a person from the Crowd of the world into the Core of the Kind of Jesus Christ.” The connecting practicum stream is the practical application of the vision.

Discipleship Stream

Leading a person from the Crowd to the Core must be intentional. The Discipleship practicum stream gives first-hand experience in developing and operating a discipleship program within the local church. In this practicum, you will learn different group and class concepts as well as mentoring.

Social Enterprise

The Social Enterprise Practicum is designed to give the student front line experience in missions, compassion, and sustainable ministry opportunities.

Enterprise Practicum Stream

The Enterprise practicum stream focuses on establishing businesses and organizations that will be a revenue stream for reaching people for Jesus Christ. In this practicum stream the student will learn first-hand how to start a non-profit, write a business plan, and practically implement the gifts of the entrepreneur for sustainable missions.

Compassion Stream

The Compassion Practicum Stream focuses on meeting the needs of the local community through feeding, housing, tutoring, and educational programing. You will get behind the scenes access to what it takes to establish and maintain compassion programs and ministries.

Missions Stream

The Missions Practicum Stream focuses on reaching out to those beyond the local setting. You will have the opportunity to plan, prepare, and participate in mission’s opportunities all around the nation and world.
